Well, the winner of the RTBI IRO draw, Blair Forrest, came with me to South Africa and the ARTSA AGM on the South Cape. But, before that advanture we travelled to Parr's Halt, in Botswana for a short spot of hunting.
After Blair had shot his 'donkey', or zebra to us, we travelled to George and then Mossell Bay for the ARTSA AGM. (Associations of Round Table Southern Africa). These guys know how to organise an event, they had 1090 Tablers and partners, which included 109 Tnternational guestts. Full report to follow when I can get to PC.
Blair and I were to fly back, on Sunday, but RT Iceland decided put a stop to this by giving the northern hemisphere a taste of their "Fire & Ice Tour".
We are now forced to "enjoy" an extended trip down here, but, we are not just stuck in a hotel, thankfully being home-hosted by an ex-ARTSA Tabler, Egbert Harmse!
Also, being "held" captive, are ex-Nat.IRO of Germany, Lars Vondenhoff and his wife (of only two weeks) Svenja. If sky clear we hope to fly home on the 27th April.
If not we can start to find useful employment here using our skills and round table contacts...........
