Round Table Top Mountain

As part of their aim to raise £20,000 for St. Margaret's Hospice, Yeovil Round Table have set themselves an exciting challenge on August 29th.

Their plan is to leave Yeovil at 6am, drive to Snowdonia, climb to the summit of Mt. Snowdon and back down again all in 10 hours. Oh, and there's just the small additional fact that they'll be carrying a five foot round table, chairs and enough food and drink to have a sit down meal when they reach the top!

You'll be able to follow their progress on the Yeovil Round Table Blog at www.yeovilroundtable.co.uk and you can make donations at www.justgiving.com/roundtabletopmountain.

Early support for the challenge has already been demonstrated by local businesses including company DR Jones whose managing director David Jones has donated the use of a mini-bus and Time2Display who have donated the printing of the 5ft table graphics.

In 2007 the 14 members of Yeovil Round Table made donations totalling £23,500 to charities including St. Margaret's Somerset Hospice, Fiveways School, Yeovil Opportunity Group, Children's Wish, The British Brain & Spine Foundation and Yeovil Celebrates.

Current chairman Steve Newman commented "with a growing membership of 16 and further exciting fund raising events planned, we are hoping to make donations totalling over £30,000 this year".
